How To Install On A Mac?

Here a some important tips how to install Full Bucket Music plug-ins on a Mac:

1. If you experience graphic problems and/or your machine is rather old:
   Try the "N" version of the plug-in in question!
   
   The "N" versions are based on the older iPlug framework without resizable user interfaces.
2. After downloading the PKG installation file, do not double-click it but open it in Finder!
   To do so, right-click on the file and select "Open".
   If you are on macOS below 15.X (Sequoia):

   1. You may be asked if you really want to install the package because it comes from an "unidentified developer" (me, Björn, the Bucketeer) or "untrusted source" (typically this website).
   2. If you trust me (Björn, the Bucketeer) and want the plug-in: Click "OK" and follow the installation instructions.
   If you are on macOS 15.X (Sequoia) or higher:

   Apple gives you a more relaxed way to install my plug-ins!

   1. When opening the PKG file ("paralogy_1_0_0_macclap.pkg" in this example), a dialog tells you that the PKG file cannot be opened. Click on "Done".
   2. Now open the "System Preferences" dialog and select the "Privacy & Secutity" tab. It tells you that the PKG file was blocked. Click on "Open Anyway".
   3. Another dialog opens. Click on "Open Anyway".
   4. Another dialog opens. Enter your credentials. Congratulations, you're done!

3. After successful installation,
   • the Audio Units plug-in will be placed under /Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/Components
   • and the VST plug-in will be placed under /Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/VST
   • and the VST3 plug-in will be placed under /Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/VST3
     [Please note that the "N" versions do not feature the VST3 format!]
   • and the CLAP plug-in will be placed under /Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/CLAP
     [Please note that the "N" versions do not feature the CLAP format!]
   • and the AAX plug-in will be placed under /Library/Application Support/Avid/Audio/Plug-Ins
     [Please note that the "N" versions do not feature the AAX format!]
4. Audio Units may not be visible in your DAW after installation. There are many suggestions how to solve this problem:
   • The simplest way is to reboot your Mac.
   • Pros may go ahead and clear the Audio Units cache. Search the net for "clear audio unit cache" how to do that.
